Lord my Strong Tower
Proverbs 18:10-11 The name of the Lord is a fortified tower;the righteous run to it and are safe.The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale.
Dear Friends, what do you think can solve your problems? What makes you safe? We all bank on certain things to solve our issues and problems in life. Often that’s what we are running after.
The above mentioned verse exactly mentions the two different mentalities. Some of us who are focused on the worldly things to solve our problems. It could be our finances, our friends or may be even fame. But all these things have limitations no matter how effective they may look or sound. To whom we run to when we face a problem, shows the true state of our faith and mindset. There is a God who knows no limits and who has no bounds and is waiting on us to turn to Him to solve our issues. It would be an intelligent idea to give God the first (and His rightful) place in our problems as well. The Bible says in Psalms 46:10 (a) “Be still and now that I am God…”
The enemy wants to give you the impression that your “stuff” is stronger or more reliable than God. He wants you to shake when you face a challenge. Don’t take that bait. Turn to God and see the deliverance. Solomon who is known to be the richest and the wisest king says that the righteous are safe in the presence of the Lord for the name of the Lord is a fortified tower. Lets cast down the false imagination which tells us that riches can save us. Lets look towards God so He may usher us to safety. Pr. T.Bakshi.
