Faith Comes By Hearing
Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Dear Friends, in our walk with God faith plays a key role. As it is written in Hebrews 11:6 Its impossible to please him without faith. Our biggest gift “Salvation” is the gift which we receive through our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is through faith that impossible is made possible. Faith is the result of hearing God’s word. In our journey of faith we encounter storms and situations that shake us to the core and surround us with doubt and fear. This is the point where a believer needs to decide, what he wants to hear. Does he want to hear the false ungodly voices, advises and reports, or is he eager to hear from God through His word.
We know what happened in the garden of Eden, when Eve heard the voice of Satan. She pondered upon it and entertained the thought of going against God’s commandment. We all know the rest of the events that followed as a result of heeding to ungodly voices.
The enemy is unwilling to give up on us and he continuously keeps questioning the word and promises of God in our lives. We can control what we fill our heart and mind with. The word of God is true and unshakeable (Matthew 24:35). Its a weapon against the schemes and tactics of the enemy which work against our faith. If you hear the Word of God, you will be able to apply it appropriately.
We cannot obey God unless we hear His word. The Bible says victory is ours, so let’s stir up our faith by hearing God’s word and heed to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit. Then we can move to the enemy’s camp and see the battle being won. Have a victorious day. Pastor T.Bakshi
